Hello everyone. I know that many of you are preparing for your trip to the 13th International Fragile X Conference in Miami. This is my 7th conference as executive director but I am as excited now as I was for that first one back in 2000. (Los Angeles) I also know that many of you will not be able to join us this year. For both groups, I want reassure you that we will do our best to see that much of the conference content is made available in the months following the conference. While that doesn’t replace the incredible value of the connections that are made when you can attend in person, it is still our goal that everyone has access to the latest information.
I know that modern social networking tools will allow for the dissemination of conference information in a way that was previously unavailable. I thank all of you, in advance, for using this forum to assist one another. It is a beautiful thing to behold.
Finally, I would be remiss if I failed to acknowledge the incredible effort of the NFXF Team in California and across the country, the parent volunteers at Families for Fragile X in Florida, the NFXF’s Scientific & Clinical Advisory Committee, our Board of Directors, the volunteer parents on our Support & Education Committee and the many, many others who have labored long and hard for the past year to make this event one that will be collaborative, educational and inspirational
See you in Miami, or online, or at the next conference. (Soon to be announced!)
