LetEmKnowSquareRegistration & Rules

What is the Difference Between Registering, Joining a Team and Donating?

Registering

When you register for the NFXF Let ‘Em Know 5k, you:

  • Receive a dry-fit shirt and a race bib.
  • Agree to do a 5k (3.1 mile) by walking, running or however else you choose.
  • Create a fundraising page to help raise money for Fragile X awareness.

Registering for the Let ‘Em Know does not count toward your fundraising goal.

Joining a Team

Those who create a fundraiser either by registering or starting a fundraiser have the option of creating a team. The “Join This Team” button allows you to create your personal fundraising page under a friend’s created team. All individual pages in a team page will be counted toward a team goal.

Want to join the NFXF’s team? We welcome you!

Donating

Besides running/walking the 5k, NFXF Let ‘Em Know is also a way to help fundraise for Fragile X. We encourage you to join and ask your friends and family to donate to the cause through your page! Donors do not receive a shirt and bib.

Can I do something other than run or walk the 5k?

Yes, of course! Swim, skate or bike! It doesn’t matter how you complete your 5k, just that you’re doing it to support Fragile X awareness.

Also remember that you don’t have to complete the 3.1 miles all at once. Spread it out over the month. Just do what you can, and do what’s healthy for you.

Unable to walk but still want to raise awareness?

No problem! When you click on “Join this Event” on our Crowdrise event page, select “Start Your Own Fundraiser”!

You won’t get a shirt and race bib, but creating your fundraiser is free and you can still help us reach our goal by asking others to donate! Share your page with friends and family. You’ll still be eligible to win the two grand prizes – each one is a $250 Amazon gift card.

One grand prize goes to the individual who raises the most money. The other grand prize goes to the individual who has the highest number of donors.

Shirts and Bibs

How do I get extra shirts and bibs for my family members or friends?

You must register each individual for his/her own shirt. If you need shirts and bibs for your entire family or for a group of friends, you can register multiple times using the same email address.

For example, if you have four members in your family and each person wants his/her own shirt, you must register each person individually. Therefore, you will go through the registration process four times.

Last year’s shirts ran large. What are the shirt sizes like this year?

This year we are using a different brand for unisex, which runs much truer to size.

This year we are offering a women’s cut, which is designed to be more fitted. Those ordering women’s may want to size up, depending on the way you like your shirt to fit.

We also have children’s sizes.
