When and Where

When is the conference?

The 2012 conference starts on Wednesday, July 25 at 2pm, and ends on Sunday July 29 at noon.

Where will the conference be held?
The conference will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami, Florida. We also have a block of rooms at discounted price which is available for attendees.

Registration and Hotel

How do I register and when does registration begin?

Registration will be online and available on this site beginning February 1, 2012 for Early Bird Registration.

How much will registration cost?
We are currently working out the prices for the upcoming conference, but we will keep the costs as affordable as possible and expect them to be similar to the 2010 conference’s prices.

Based on last year’s prices, Early Bird Registration is projected to be approximately $400 for Individuals and $750 – $800 for a Family registration (two family members)

Why should I stay at the conference hotel?

  • The NFXF negotiates the best possible room rate at desirable properties by contracting for a block of rooms at the conference hotel. Typical room rates would be significantly higher at the same hotel without this advantage.
  • The conference hotel staff are briefed on FX so they know what to expect and how to deal with the needs of families.
  • Staying on the conference premises provides numerous opportunities to network with other attendees including some of the most highly regarded FX experts – you never know who you will run into on the elevator or in the gym!
  • No worrying about getting to sessions on time or taking a quick break between sessions when you stay at the conference hotel. Session rooms and events are all conveniently located in the conference hotel.
  • There is no fee to book your reservations in advance. The room rate will be increased after June 21, 2012.

Scholarships

Will scholarships be available? What will they cover?

Yes, scholarships will be available. A scholarship covers the registration fee for an individual or family registration (two family members).

When will scholarship applications be available?
Scholarship applications will be accepted beginning February 1, 2012. The last day to submit will be March 31, 2012.

Scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to first-time applicants.


How do I apply for a scholarship?
Scholarship will be available through an Online Submission Form or a Print & Mail Form.

It is to your advantage to use the Online Submission Form because we will receive it more quickly this way, and scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Conference Agenda, Topics, and speakers

When will the conference agenda be available?

The agenda for the conference will be available April 15, 2012.

When will the topics and speakers for the upcoming conference be announced?
The topics and speakers will be announced in the agenda, which will be released April 15, 2012.
