This year's Motorcycle Ride for Fragile X Syndrome will take place on Saturday, August 25th with a rain date of Sunday, August 26th.
For those of you who may not know, Eric & I & his parents host this event with the help of 3 other families in the area who have kids with FX (Maine Fragile X Resource Group), the National Fragile X Foundation, and our good friend Dave Allard. The ride begins & ends at our shop, (Maine Coast Cycle) on Rt 100 in New Gloucester. Last year riders drove up Rt 26 to the Sunday River area and returned for a silent auction and lunch provided by Subway. This year's route is still TBD. We will hold the silent auction once again which is fun for both riders and non riders alike. Last year we had 24 riders and raised about $2500 between registrations, business donations and proceeds from the auction.
