Second Annual Fun Run Walk
Our Second Annual Fun/Run/Walk on August 10, was a great success! It was a little cool outside but the Park Rangers came (on horseback!) and lit the fireplaces in the pavilion, so it was nice and
cozy. The children loved petting the horses. Thank you so much to all who attended both the Walk and the Family Picnic. It is always nice to see our friends, renew acquaintances and meet other families.
Plan ahead to attend next year on Saturday, July 18, 2009.
Ninth Annual Golf Fundraiser
Registration is now open for our ninth annual golf fundraiser to be held at Wesburn Golf and Country Club in S.
Rockford, MI on September 6, 2008. You don't need to know how to golf, you just want to be able to hang out with
friends and family in a great location and support a good cause! There are lots of perks for coming -- lunch, dinner,
golf, prizes, goodies bags, sweatshirts and a great time! Click here or go to the Events page to register.
With the generous donations of our supporters, we were able to raise close to $13,000 at the Eighth Annual Golf Outing. With the proceeds we were able to
· Donate $5000 to the National Fragile X Foundation (NFXF) for funding research and
increasing awareness.
· Sponsor local workshops, provide a member directory, produce a quarterly newsletter,
sponsor an advocate for Fragile X Advocacy Day in Washington D.C. and much more.

Directions to Beaumont Hospital:
FROM THE WEST : I-696 East to Southfield Road exit. North on Southfield Road to Thirteen Mile Road. Right (east) on Thirteen Mile Road for about two miles. Beaumont, Royal Oak campus will be on the right.
FROM THE SOUTH: Southfield Freeway (M-39) north to Southfield Road. Continue to Thirteen Mile Road. Right (east) on Thirteen Mile Road for about two miles. Beaumont, Royal Oak campus will be on the right.
FROM THE EAST: I-696 West to Greenfield Road exit. North on Greenfield Road to Thirteen Mile Road. Right (east) on Thirteen Mile Road for about 1/2 mile. Beaumont, Royal Oak campus will be on the right.
FROM THE NORTH: I-75 South to Square Lake Road exit. Follow signs to Square Lake Road. Take Square Lake Road west to southbound Woodward Avenue. Follow Woodward Avenue south to Thirteen Mile Road. Right (west) on
Thirteen Mile Road. Beaumont, Royal Oak campus is on the left (just pass the Northwood Shopping Center).

On the Beaumont campus you need to take the Administration and Service entrance to get to the Administration
Building. There is a traffic light at this entrance, it is the western most entrance on 13 Mile Rd, the street to the east of Harvard Rd.
The Administration Building is in the back, past the parking decks, on the left. It is across from the physician parking lot. If you drive straight into the physician parking lot it will be on the left.
Enter the building through the main south entrance. Turn left down the hall. Private Dining Room,next to Conference Room A.
