The NCFXA was formed by a group of parents of children affected by Fragile X Syndrome in 1995.

We hold speaker and support meetings throughout the greater Bay Area including the San Jose and Sacramento areas.

We host an Annual Family Picnic each summer and have hosted other Family Fun Days including bowling excursions, BBQ's, and museum trips.

Our annual Gala Fundraising Event to benefit the National Fragile X Foundation has been successful in raising much needed money for Fragile X research, education and awareness.

We have a current mailing list of close to 100 families in Northern California.
