The NFXF has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The web site address (URL) is http://www.fragilex.org. Access is free and anonymous.

Information you provide about yourself

At no time are you required to give any information about yourself to access the web site. Our site uses an order form for visitors to request information and order publications. In the event you choose to provide this information, we collect contact information (like name, address and e-mail address) and financial information (like account or credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about the Foundation. Financial information is used to bill for products ordered. Information collected is used solely by the NFXF and is not distributed to any third parties.

Your mailing address and/or email address, will be provided to our parent-oriented resource groups and centers, that are in your geographic area and affiliated with the National Fragile X  Foundation, unless you request otherwise. Your telephone number will only be given out with your specific permission. However, we always encourage families to contact their local affiliated group on their own initiative.

Our use of information about you

We will generally respond to you by postal service mail, e-mail or telephone, depending on your requests and our resources. If you provide your postal address, telephone number or e-mail address to the Foundation online, you may receive any of the following periodic contacts from us:

• Mailings with information about additional fragile X and related resources, programs, services and events from the NFXF;
• Mailings that invite you to join the Foundation, to subscribe to our newsletter, The Foundation Quarterly, or to help the Foundation achieve its mission;
• Telephone contact with information about orders you have placed online, as well as additional fragile X and related information;
• Telephone contact to invite you to join the Foundation, to subscribe to The Foundation Quarterly, or to help the Foundation achieve its mission; 
• E-mail contact to respond to your questions, comments or suggestions.
